Armen Stone, a family-owned countertop manufacturer and fabrication company in Burlington, NC, is hiring a CNC Machine Operator Trainee / Manufacturing Equipment Operator for our stone fabrication shop.
Stone experience is not required.
We are looking for someone reliable, mechanically inclined, coachable, and interested in learning specialized manufacturing equipment. The right person will be trained directly by our shop manager to operate CMS CNC stone milling machines and CNC-controlled saws used to fabricate countertops and related stone products.
This is a good fit for someone with experience in CNC, machining, machine operation, metal fabrication, welding, cabinetry, millwork, industrial maintenance, mechatronics, manufacturing, automotive/mechanical work, or military technical work.
* Learn to set up and operate CNC stone fabrication equipment
* Run CMS CNC milling machines and CNC-controlled saws safely and accurately
* Read job details, measurements, drawings, and shop instructions
* Perform quality checks before, during, and after production
* Handle stone and other materials safely with the production team
* Follow shop processes, safety rules, and production priorities
* Keep job materials, work areas, and production details organized
* Communicate clearly when something looks wrong or needs attention
* Reliable attendance and strong follow-through
* Mechanical or technical aptitude

You do not need stone experience. Helpful backgrounds include:
* CNC machining or CNC routing
* Machine operation
* Metal fabrication
* Welding
* Cabinetry or millwork
* Industrial maintenance
* Mechatronics
* Manufacturing technology
* Automotive or mechanical work
* Military technical/mechanical experience
* Stone, solid surface, or countertop fabrication
* Comfortable standing, bending, and working around heavy equipment in a shop environment
* Able to lift and move materials safely, with team lift or equipment when required
* Able to work safely around stone slabs, machinery, tools, dust, water, and shop traffic
* Able to follow safety procedures every day
Location: Burlington, NC
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
Pay: $22/hr–$28/hr depending on experience and demonstrated ability
Overtime: Seasonal overtime may be available, especially during summer
