Armen Stone, a family-owned countertop manufacturer in Burlington, NC, is hiring a Stone CNC Operator to run CNC production for stone countertops.
This role is best for someone who is strongest on CNC operation and CAM workflow (toolpaths, nesting, machine setup, repeatable output). Stone shop experience is helpful, but CNC competence is the priority.
What you’ll do
- Run CNC equipment used for stone countertop production (setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting)
- Turn templates/dimensions into clean, production-ready CNC outputs (toolpaths/cut files) using our software workflow
- Load/unload material safely, verify measurements, and keep jobs labeled and organized
- Manage cut quality and accuracy (bit selection, feeds/speeds, calibrations, test cuts as needed)
- Keep a clean workstation and follow safety procedures every day
- Update job status/notes and keep job files organized in our workflow system (we’ll train you)
What we’re looking for
Must-have
- Proven experience operating CNC equipment in a production environment (stone, wood, metal, plastics, etc.)
- Comfortable with computers and file workflows (downloads/uploads, naming/versioning, folders, PDFs)
- Able to read shop drawings and work accurately from measurements
- Safety-first mindset and reliable attendance
Strong plus
- Experience with CNC bridge saws or CNC routers used in stone shops
- Experience with CAD/CAM workflows (toolpaths, nesting, offsets, zeroing, calibration)
- Familiarity with digital templating workflows
- Stone shop experience (but CNC skill is what matters most)
Physical requirements
- Ability to lift and move materials safely (team lift when required)
- Comfortable standing, bending, and working around heavy equipment in a shop environment
Details
- Location: Burlington, NC
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Pay: $20/hr–$25/hr + OT
